Colour Q Challenge #187

I totally love this colour combo.  I've been on a "Scrappin' my Disney photos" kick and I was thrilled to find that Sleeping Beauty's castle has all the colours in this combo.  I used the "This Year" kit from Scotty Designs over at Pixels and Co.  I just recoloured a few elements.  Again, I tried to give the page a "Project Life" feel

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #173

We have my favourite kind of challenge over at Stampin' Royalty this week.
It's a colour challenge.
Although I'm not a real fan of this combo I am pleased with how this card turned out.

I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet so I left off a sentiment.

Colour Q Challenge #186

It's time for another challenge over at the Colour Q.
I really, really love this combo that Arielle has cooked up.
I decided to pull out some of my Disney photos and tried
to evoke a Project Life feel.
I really love these photos of my daughter on the
It's a Small World ride.  She's got a real look of wonderment
on her face.  She still says this is her favourite ride at
Disneyland.

Above is a look at the two pages together.
Below is a closeup of of the two pages.
I used the Feeling Peppy kit from Just Jaimee
over at Pixels and Co.
I altered some of the colours to fit the challenge.

I have been a bit busy...

I have been very busy since our March holiday, and I've been a bit remiss about posting here.
So today I'm trying a bit of catch up!

First up, today's Stampin' Royalty Challenge #172
This week it's a photo inspiration challenge.
Here's the photo.

And here's my take.
I pulled embellishments from all kinds of kits. in My Digital Studio.
I also recoloured many of them to fit the pallette in the photo.
Teagan's Baseball uniform fit the pallette too (excepting the pink accessories of course)
She's so cute - the only girl on the team and one of the best players.
Probably because she's watched her big brother play for 2 years already.

Next up is this week's Colour Q.  I love, love, love this pallette.

I used this cute photo taken on my street.
My tenant's boyfriend has a dog, and one day, there he was in the driver's seat.
He totally looks like he's driving right?

This page is a layout from Suzy Q scraps.  I added a few other embellishments from Stampin' Up! and I recoloured all of them to match the pallette.

And finally, here's a page from last week's Stampin' Royalty.
I used an MDS template from the Lemonade Stand collection.

The challenge was to follow a baby theme.
We don't have any babies in our house these days, but
I found these photos of Connor, and they matched the pallette of this page perfectly.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #170

We have a great challenge for you over at Stampin' Royalty.
This week the challenge is to use
Ribbons and Pearls

I used the Fan Fair paper from Stampin' Up!
This is actually a hybrid card as the background image was printed out of MDS so that I could get a much smaller Eiffel Tower image.   The above elements were punched out of one of the sheets.

I thought this cute little clock charm worked great!

And here are the little pearls.
Below you can see a larger image of the card.  At the top of the card I put a ruffled ribbon.
It just felt too plain without the ruffles.

Colour Q Challenge #183

Arielle really came up with a challenging combo this week.  I really struggled to come up with a scrapbook page.  But as I was preparing for the Easter Bunny's visit a few night's ago, I tried out the combo and was really pleased with the result.

So I found this cute design in the Silhouette store and used my handy Cameo to cut it out in Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride.

Little did I know that assembling this poor thing took about an hour, and I made 2 of them.

Then I added the Daffodil Delight ribbon on top to bring in the colour, and add a bit to the plain old handle.

I made the tag using My Digital Studio.  This brought in the final 2 colours from the palette.

Toss in some easter grass and a few eggs and you're ready for Easter morning.

Hope your easter was as fun as ours was!
Thanks for stopping by.
