Goodbye Teacher

Here's a little card I put together for one of my son's teachers.
I used some retired SU paper and a lot of embellishments.

Stampin Royalty Challenge #178

So this week we have a photo inspiration challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.

Cute colours right???
I decided to pull out the Disney photos again and do more scrappin'.
We had lots of fun visiting the LEGO store.

HSS Sketch Challenge #160

I pulled out some retired product to make this card.
Tomorrow I'll post why Domestic Goddess was the perfect paper for this card.
I used the layout from Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.

I stamped each layer of the stamp in the colours on the paper.
Then I carefully cut out each colour and paper pieced it together to get the sentiment.

Stampin, Royalty Challenge #177

Wednesday means another great challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.
I've been on a real digital kick this past while, I know.
I looked at this week's sketch and decided to turn it into a page.
There's so, so, so many photos I need to scrap!

Nothing fancy this week.  Just a plain and simple ol' birthday page.

I just used the paper, embellishments and stamps from the Topsy Turvy kit.
I think this might be the quickest page I've ever made.

Colour Q challenge #190

I have to say that I love this combo this week..
Hop on over to Colour Q to check out the design team.
Although I always love to challenge myself with the combos that Arielle comes up with, it's always nice to complete a layout quickly.

First I made the collage above by using Insta-frame and Instagram.

And below you can see the whole layout all together.

A Few Challenges for the Long Weekend

I really tried to think outside the box with this card.
First I used the layout from Seize the Birthday.

And the theme from the Paper Players

I used a framelit to punch a window through the card and used a slightly smaller framelit to punch out the image.  That adorable birthday cake image, by the way, is from MellyMoo designs.

I need to apologize for the poor quality of my photos, but I really could not get a good shot with the card closed.  Above is the best one I took and you can see that the ribbon is not lined up from this angle.  Anyway, it was nice to get back into my scrap room today.  I hope that I get the chance again really soon.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #176

We have a fabulous colour challenge over at Stampin' Royalty today.
Hop on over to check out the design team's samples this week.

I got down to scrappin' more of my Disney photos.
These are all from our Character Dining experience.
Teagan really did not want to go have lunch with the Princesses which really surprised me.
But both kids wanted dinner in Goofy's Kitchen, so that's what we did.
And we got photos with tons of the characters.

Colour Q Challenge #189

OK So I admit that when I first saw this Colour Palette I was really skeptical.  But then I realized that I had all these fabulous photos from the kids Dance Performance and they fit the challenge perfectly.   So I whipped up this little page fairly quickly.   Hop on over to Colour Q to check out all the great samples created by the Design Team.

Love that Smile

I found the cutest kit over at Pixels and Co.

And it was on sale.

So then I needed to get scrappin'.  And I took these adorable photos of my daughter last week.

But the colours didn't match, so I altered them to Black and White.

There's something about this kit that just draws me in.

Stampin Royalty Challenge #175

So this week over at Stampin' Royalty we have a photo inspiration challenge.

I pulled the colours directly from the photo.
Except I felt that I needed to add the yellow for that final punch because the ride is full of yellow.

Colour Q Challenge #188

Here's another great colour challenge from Arielle over at the Colour Q.
This week I scrapped another page from our Disney trip.

I know that this colour combo doesn't really seem very Star Wars like, but I think that it makes the brown jedi capes really pop.

From the day we told the kids we were going to Disneyland, Connor talked about the Jedi Training Academy.  He was so excited to be picked as a Jedi Padawan.  For me, I loved the light saber duel with Darth Maul the best.  Connor loves the little Star Wars quotes I added to the page.
