Stampin' Royalty Challenge #145

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge for you

I found this crazy photo on Pintrest and couldn't resist to see what people would come up with.

I made this cute giraffe with punches and fabric.
I made it for the Displays at Convention.  I know this one made it up on the Display boards.

Paper Players #136

When I saw the challenge over at the Paper Players this week, I was glad to find that I had not posted up my own swap from Regionals last week.

I decided to use up some die cuts that I had made for a Christmas card kit I'm working on.

And I wanted to use up the rest of my Festival of Prints DSP patterned paper pack from the Holiday Mini.  So I mixed and matched to make a bunch of different cards.

I added some pear pizzaz baker's twine and a bunch of little tags to create the sentiment.

I mounted the cup on a die cut from the windows framelits and added the paper piercing from the matching paper piercing mat.

Here are a few of the other combinations that I came up with.
My favourite is still the original one at the top of this post.

Scrap Map for My Digital Studio.net

They've started a weekly challenge over at mydigitalstudio.net
You can find the link on my sidebar for this fabulous site or click on the words above.

This week the challenge is a scrap map (or sketch).
When I saw it I knew I had to use the fabulous Fancy Frames.

I have all these wonderful photos of my family when we were wearing turquoise, so I decided to recolour all the frames with Tempting Turquoise.

And one of my most favourite colour combos is Brown and Turquoise, so I used Early Espresso as my background colour.  Then I layered over with a ton of overlay stamps.  You can find my supply list at the bottom of this post.

I used the freeform line tool to place the journaling around the square shape.

Display Stamper Samples from Convention

I absolutely love this page of my children.  I really wish I had a copy for myself.
When Stampin' Up! sent me my package of sneak peek goodies, they sent me this stamp set, but not the matching framelits.  So I decided to try to punch out the stamp with the Petals punch.

I quite like the effect.

I stamped the letters and cut them out by hand.

The background was created by stamping the Daydream Medallions
in Whisper White craft ink on Island Indigo.

I added a cute photo of my kids.

Some ribbon...

Here's another look at that flower above,
and a full look at this page, below.

Merry Monday #35

After all the exciting swaps I received at Regionals last weekend, I decided to direct my focus to Christmas Cards.  Don't worry, I plan on posting all those swaps in the next few weeks.

I decided to try my hand at the Merry Monday sketch this week over at Lesley's blog

I pulled out the "Be Of Good Cheer" Simply Scrappin' Kit from the Holiday mini.
I got it free at Regionals last weekend.  Yup, FREE, my favourite four letter word!

I used some of the sticker die cuts to embellish the card.

I layered them up and added some rhinestones for more interest.

I used some of the border stickers to create long flags for the side of the card.
I mounted them on Basic Grey card stock to emphasize them.

I stamped the sentiment from Snow Swirled on the front and die cut it with
the Apothecary Labels framelit.  Then I mounted it twice on card stock and
I carefully cut it out by hand and added a few Brad's for interest.

Then I stamped the sentiment inside the card using Very Vanilla Craft Ink.

And I pulled out my Artisan Award Winning Stamp for the back!

Below is a closeup of the card - I have to say I think it's missing something, but needless to say,
I won't be embarrased to send it to someone.

Boardwalk Sympathy

I really like the Simply Scrappin' kits this year.  They are excellent for making cards with.  There's a lot of little die cuts which make for easy embellishments, and there aren't any sentiments or Journaling tags, so you don't have to use it only for scrapbooking.

One of my co-workers is going through a difficult time with an injury and a very sick child.  So I made this sympathy card for our staff to send to him.

The sentiments were actually printed out with My Digital Studio 2 as I don't seem to own any sympathy stamps sets.  The one above was die cut with the Bitty Banners framelit and then mounted on some Old Olive card stock and cut out by hand.

I used the stickers in the kit as embellishments and popped them up on dimensionals.  I added the baker's twine for more detail.

Here's the finished card.  I really like the colours on this card and I'm sure my coworker will too.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #144

Welcome to Wednesday and a new challenge at Stampin' Royalty.
This week we have a
COLOUR CHALLENGE.

I decided to pull my colours from the Floral District DSP.

I

This purse was originally made for the Displays at Convention.
I used the Labels Framelits and the Daydream Medallion stamp sets.
I attached the label to the top of the purse and voila!

I really like how the Labels line up nicely with the medallion stamp.

Halloween Swaps from Tacoma Regionals

There were some fabulous swaps and samples at the Tacoma Regionals.

Check out this adorable little pumpkin.

The core d-inations card stock works really well with the woodgrain embossing folder.

I think I've found a great little art project for my class this month.

This card really drew my eye.
I love how the creator put 'spook' in the sentiment.

SWAPS from Regionals

I just spent the weekend in Tacoma Washington.
Stampin' Up hosted their Fall Regional there.
Some of the swaps were outstanding.
I wish I knew who made this one, but isn't it fabulous???

Check out the close-ups of that amazing flower.
