Every Little Bit Dwell

I just love that little house.  This kit is so cute - perfect for Thanksgiving.
I especially like the little pocket cards.  And the colors in this kit just work so well.
Deena Rutter has done it again.

Thanks for coming by today.

Soccer Flame

Here's a little Thank You card I whipped up a few months back for Teagan's soccer coach.  I found the image through MS word and I coloured it with markers.

HOLIDAY MINI sneak peek and an Artisan Award Swap!!!!

Today I've got 2 projects for you.  Actually, having just come home from convention yesterday, I have decided that I need to post up some of the fabulous swaps that I received.  So I will try to put up at least one swap with every post for the next few weeks.  But anyway, starting with this project.  The wreath is stamped from a set from the new Holiday Mini, which goes live on September 1st.  This set, called Warmest Wishes, is the hostess set in the new mini.  When I saw it I knew it was number one on my wish list.  There are 5 images, but I'm not allowed to show you the actual stamps right now. I can show you samples though, so why not start out with one I actually cased from the mini itself?  This wreath is so versatile.  You can use it for a fall image, like I did, or a Christmas image etc.  There are enless possibilities.  The centre is punched with the 1 1/4 inch circle punch.  All the stamps in this set coordinate with punches.  I love when things coordinate with punches.  It makes cardmaking go sooooooo quickly, and they all look great!   Here's some of the supplies I used.  Remember that I can't show you the stamps so I had to cut them out of the photo.
Now, on to even better projects.  For our artisan dinner on Friday, we did a swap.  This card is made by Connie Collins.  Isn't it fabulous?  I love how she used all that DSP and then coordinated the background with the Dotted Textured Impressions Folder.  Now if you think this card is fabulous, check out below.

Connie didn't just present us with the card, she then packaged it in a clear box made with Window Sheets and added some crimped paper as confetti.  It really finished off the whole card and gave it a fall, or harvest feel.  What talent!  Check back tomorrow when I will have other Artisan projects to share with you.

More Make n Takes from Regionals

This set of cards was one of the make 'n takes from regionals.  They are a set of 3x3 inch cards that come in a handy little folder.  We used the nature walk stamp set and the Thank You Kindly set along with Botanic Garden DSP and some seam binding ribbon.  These cards are going to make a fabulous hostess gift.  Scroll down and you will be able to see closeup some of the details in the cards.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend is Thanksgiving for us in Canada. I whipped up this little gift for Thanksgiving. I think I'll set one at every place at the table. Inside are turkey and pumpkin chocolates from Purdy's (a local chocolatier in Vancouver). Just a quick post for today.

Summertime Splendor on My Digital Studio

I whipped up this set of cards in a flash on My Digital Studio. I love this new Summertime Splendor paper available as a digital download. The original idea of these cards come from the wonderfully talented Gretchen Barron. I cropped the paper and added the sentiment digitally. Once I printed them out I mounted them on whisper white cardstock and voila!!!

Baseball Thank You's

And here's yet another card for my customer's baseball coach. Again the image is from my Clip Art as I don't have any baseball stamps. The colours I used are Kraft (crumb cake!!), Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Whisper White. The brads are More Mustard and the ribbon that matches them so nicely is from my stash. I ran the Soft Suede piece of cardstock through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder.

Baseball Thanks

Here's another card for my customer's baseball coach. Again, the image is from my ClipArt as I don't have any Baseball stamps. But everything else is from Stampin' Up. The colours I used are River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Whisper White. The DSP is from a few years ago when River Rock was an In Color. I am soooooooo excited that it will be coming back in a few weeks! The brads are Old Olive and the Sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly set.

Baseball Cards

A customer of mine asked for 3 different Thank You cards for her son's baseball coaches. So I sat down to put some together. The problem is that I do not own any baseball stamps. Luckily, I found this fantastic image in my Clip Art on my computer. I love that it evokes the look of a watercolour painting. It was printed in brown, so I knew I needed to include brown in my colour palette. For this card I decided to use colours in the new Neutrals colour family. I was really pleased to see that River Rock and Soft Suede go together perfectly. The patterned paper is retired. The darker DSP was from a retired Simply Scrappin Kit and the bottom DSP was from the Patterned Paper pack when River Rock was an In Color a few years back. The thank you stamp is from the Thank You Kindly set.

Inkspiration #12

Time for another Inkspiration challenge from Makeesha. This week its a sketch challenge. I added a bit of non SU stuff to this card because I absolutely love my nesties and I didn't have time to dye some flowers to match but I have these cute flowers from the dollar store and matching brad's. I used my new Textured Impressions folder and let me tell you I'm addicted. You will see MANY projects with this texture folder in the next little while. I've already made a ton of projects using it.
Supplies: Stamps: Live your Dream (ret). Ink: Rich Razz. Paper: Rich Razz, W White. Accessories: Flowers & Brads from Dollar store. Nesties Labels 4 die, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Textured Impressions folder - Finial Press.
