Stampin' Royalty Challenge #204

This week we have a theme challenge over at Stampin Royalty.  This week, please show us your projects which feature 

WINTER.

I decided our local Mall has a little train set up beside the booth for Photos with Santa.

I never seem to get very good photos of the kids on the train.  

So this time I decided to throw the photos through some filters on Pixlr.

I really like the results.  It makes the blurry photos look intentional.

Colour Q Challenge #210

 

This week we have a bright combo for you over at the Colour Q.

I decided to scrap this beautiful photo of my daughter.

I just LOVE her expression.  You can see just how excited she is to be playing soccer.

More Moxie Fab

 

Here's a cute little card I made using Photoshop and a printer.  It's for the Trendy Triangle Challenge for Moxie Fab World.   I also added it to the triangle challenge over at SWAT.   I made the background using a template for PSE.  I brought the cupcake image into My Digital Studio and added the candles and sentiment from the Stampin' Up! images in MDS.

Here's my latest attempt at photoshop.  I must admit, this page is a bit of a hybrid between PSE11, GIMP,  and My Digital Studio.    There were a few things I just didn't have the patience to figure out yet, so I started in MDS and then brought the jpeg into GIMP, and finally into photoshop.  I had to build a few of the elements.

The bulk of the elements on this page are from Pandera Blooms by Mindy Terasawa over at Pixels and Co.  I also used Instagram to jazz up my photos.

Let's Get Sketchy Week 4

These photos are from our family day last weekend.  My son was being a total goof at the bowling alley.  He asked me to take a photo of just his eyes and I jazzed it up with Instagram.

 

I've joined up again at Let's Get Sketchy.  Here's this week's sketch.

 

 

I used this kit from Mye De Leon at Pixels and Co.

 

 

I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a Bingo card in this embellishment pack

And then it just seemed to fall into place.

Colour Q #195

Well we have a cute little combo over at the Colour Q this week.  I went to work with My Digital Studio to create this little page.  Brad took this amazing photo of the Sistine Chapel last summer.  When you go into the chapel, they forbid photos, but then people walk around taking tons of photos without a flash.  One guy even lay down on his back in front of us and took a few pictures.  The guards just make a token effort to remind people not to take pictures.   And you aren't supposed to talk, but there was a distinctive hum of voices from the few hundred people in there with us at the time.  Needless to say, Brad took a few shots and this one is my favourite.  Plus, the colours on the ceiling really work with this challenge.  I was also feeling a bit cheeky when I came up with the title.  :)

Let's Get Sketchy Week 3 June 2013

I tried out another great sketch from Let's Get Sketchy this week.

 

Here's the sketch.  I pulled out some photos of Brad and I last April at a playoff hockey game.

And I tried to make it a bit funky by tilting the photos.

Colour Q Challenge #194

This week we have a great combo over at the Colour Q.  I really like this combo, and I found this challenge worked really well with my children's baseball photos.  Below is an example of the two page layout.

Let's Get Sketchy Week 2

So I tried out another sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.  This week it's a multi photo layout.  I had all these photos of the very rainy parade we were in a few weeks back.  At least the kids had fun, and we saw a lot of familiar faces from the parade route.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #180

So this week we have a Colour Challenge for you over at Stampin' Royalty.

I created these little banners by altering the flag punch to give it a little swagger.

Plus I have these adorable photos of my kids riding ponies at the school fair last weekend.

 

Colour Q Challenge #193 and Let's Get Sketchy Again...

 OK I just love the colours this week at Colour Q.  I pulled out these cute photos of my daughter in her red Tball uniform and went to work.

 

 

 

I used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for my layout as well. 

 

I pulled out this kit from Pixels and Co and altered a few of the colours to match the challenge.

So I thought I'd try out some digital scrapbooking with sketches from Let's Get Sketchy.
Check out these great shots of my son.  You can actually see the baseball in the second photo.

I used this great kit called 'Storyteller' which I downloaded from Scrap Orchard for free.

Over at Stampin' Royalty we have a theme challenge this week.

So I took this opportunity to scrap this cute photo of my family taken last summer when we were in Italy.  I used the aptly named "Bon Voyage" kit for My Digital Studio.

Colour Q Challenge #192

I couldn't wait to use this paper with these photos.  I know it's retired, but I had these fantastic photos from our trip to the local candy shop a few weeks ago.  And the challenge colours matched the paper almost perfectly.  I just tweaked them a bit, but decided I needed to leave the red in.

Wednesday means another great challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.

I've been on a real digital kick this past while, I know.

I looked at this week's sketch and decided to turn it into a page.

There's so, so, so many photos I need to scrap!

 

 

Nothing fancy this week.  Just a plain and simple ol' birthday page.

 

 

I just used the paper, embellishments and stamps from the Topsy Turvy kit.

I think this might be the quickest page I've ever made.

These are all from our Character Dining experience.

Teagan really did not want to go have lunch with the Princesses which really surprised me.

But both kids wanted dinner in Goofy's Kitchen, so that's what we did.

And we got photos with tons of the characters.
