Celebrate

So I had these really cute Christmas Stickers, so I just couldn't resist making a card.
I embossed a piece of vanilla card stock and distressed the edges, and cut a piece of pool party and inked the edges, and then pulled out some old Poppy Parade paper and pierced around the edges.

Then, with my Signo white gel pen, I drew the stitching around the edges.
I layered the stickers and added a sentiment and voila!

I'm additing this to the inspiration challenge over at Curtain Call

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #204

This week we have a theme challenge over at Stampin Royalty.  This week, please show us your projects which feature

WINTER.

I decided our local Mall has a little train set up beside the booth for Photos with Santa.
I never seem to get very good photos of the kids on the train.
So this time I decided to throw the photos through some filters on Pixlr.
I really like the results.  It makes the blurry photos look intentional.

Colour Q Challenge #217

It's a cute, autumn palette this week.
I just needed to scrap our dinner on friday night.
We took the kids to a local family chain, and there was a
autograph signing by some of the players of Canada's women's Soccer team.

Bring on the Cake

So I found this adorable paper from Doodlebug Designs.
And although most of it was for Halloween, I thought it would make a great birthday card.

So I punched out some banners with the framelits from Stampin' Up!

Stamped an image and coloured it in,
embossed the background with a chevron pattern...

And got a cute card.
It's almost too cute to give away...
almost.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #203

This week we have an inspiration photo for you.
I pulled my colour pallette from this photo.
I also tried to have a lot of texture on this card to reflect all the textures in the photo.

So Scary

Yeah, yeah, I know Halloween is long past, but I just had time to sit down and scrap some cool photos of our neighbour on Halloween.  We all went Trick-or-Treating together, and had a blast!  Little Sophy, above, was dressed up as her favourite Monster High girl and her mom did an amazing job on the makeup.   This very cute paper from Doodlebug Designs was my inspiration.  The colour in her wig matches the colour in the paper perfectly.  Most of the embellishments are from the Halloween Parade Line by Doodlgebug Designs.  I used a few pieces of Glitter paper from DCWV with some star punches and also some Stickles to add some bling!

A little on the funky side...

This card has a lot of different elements on it.  The banner and washi tape are from Basic Grey, the rub on and flower are from Crate Paper and the little fabric print is from Amy Tangerine.  Oh yeah, and the button is from Tim Holtz.  This is not my typical style, but I was trying for something a little on the funky side.

This cute banner is from Basic Grey, and I just HAD to make a couple of cards with it.

Colour Q Challenge #214

I really like this combo from Arielle this week.  I found this great kit called Hipster from Basic Grey.  I used the banner, mini clips, washi tape and sticker/ stamps from the kit plus some paper from Stampin' Up! and some help from My Digital Studio to create this page.
