Stampin' Royalty Challenge #148

We have a great challenge over at Stampin' Royalty this week.
This week we'd like to see your
EMBOSS RESIST

I stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark and added white embossing powder.
Then I used the framelit to cut a piece and use it to emboss the framelit shape.
Next I used the framelit as a mask and sponged on some Crumb Cake.

I added some lace and a wood button.
You may have seen this card up on the Display Boards at Convention.
It's yet another one of my display samples.

Colour Q Challenge #161

We have another Halloween-y colour challenge over at the Colour Q.
Hop on over to check out the amazing samples by the design team.

Last week I took my daughter to the mall and they had all these cute Halloween backdrops. So she posed for a few photos.  I really like how this one turned out, so I scrapped it!
You might have to look carefully to find her in the middle of the photo.
I used a lot of stamps and overlays from the Toxic Treats download.
Check out the supply list below for more information.

Play Date Cafe #155

I truly LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these colours this week at the Play Date Cafe.
So I decided to play along.

They really reminded me of a Christmas Card.
I used Pool Party, Early Espresso, and for the middle colour I used Shimmer Gold Card Stock

I used the Ornament Keepsake stamp set with the matching framelit to make this cute ornament.
I made the rosette by stamping the En Francais stamp in Pool Party.
Then I scored and folded the card stock to make the rosette.

Here's a side view.
I used the Core D'inations card stock and embossed it to make some texture.

Merry Monday #38

I have been literally drowning in laundry these past few days.  Literally.
It seems that Novovirus has passed through my kids school and daycare and that means A LOT of cleaning up, especially in the bathroom if you get what I mean.  And the Laundry, well, there are a limited number of sheets in the cupboard, need I say any more??

So tonight I took the opportunity, now that the worst of it seems over, to sit down and create.
I decided to use a few of the new In Colours with the sketch at Merry Monday to create a few Christmas cards.

I used the Wonderous Wishes stamp set and both Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals to create this card.

And I did the same with Midnight Muse on this card.

Proud Mamma

It was my nephew's birthday party last weekend, and so the kids and I decided to make him some birthday cards.  We knew he really liked Angry Birds, so I googled images of Angry Birds cards, and then took my hand at helping the kids.

This is Teagan's card.  We put some Gumball Green through the Big Shot with the grass sizzlit.  We stamped the Woodgrain background stamp on Crumb Cake and then punched out three pieces with the word window punch.

We used the 1 1/4" circle punch for the red circle with Cherry Cobbler Card stock.  The eyes were punched out with the Owl punch and Teagan drew the pupils in with a marker.  She cut the feathers all by herself and Connor cut out the eyebrows for her.

She stamped the birthday cake by herself and then cut it out by hand.  I helped her attach the bird and rubber bands to the card with mini glue dots.  Cute - right???

Connor's Card was made with help from me.  He punched out the circle and added the white triangle all by himself.  He made the eyebrows himself and used the owl punch for the eyes.  The beak is a circle that I cut and then scored in 1/4's.  I folded it up and cut a slit to make the bottom smaller than the other sides.  I attached it with glue dots.

We ran the background of Daffodil delight through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain tetured embossing folder.

We used Scallop Polka Dot ribbon on the bottom.

The sentiment was stamped and then Connor coloured in the letters.  I cut out the white paper and then mounted it on Basic Black.  Connor cut it out by hand.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #147

It's Wednesday, and that means another challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.
Hop on over to check out the fabulous creations from the design team.

This week we have a

HALLOWEEN

theme.

I put together this little Halloween party kit.

I used the a-dorable Googly Ghouls stamp set from the current holiday mini catalogue.

And the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Patterned paper from the mini as well.

I also used the new Window Frames framelits.

Originally I put this together to make a class tutorial to sell, but my work has been soooooooo crazy this year that I just haven't had the energy when I get home in the evening to put it together.
I'll try to get the Christmas one I have planned put together soon.

Colour Q 160 and MDS Contest

It's Tuesday, and that means another challenge over at the Colour Q.
Hop on over and checkout the awesome work of the Design Team.

This week's it's a Halloween-ish colour combo.
But I decided to scrap my kids school photos.

I used the celebrate template from MDS2 and then recoloured some parts, swapped out the papers and added a few embellishments.  Because of the colours and the re-colouring, I decided to add this to the NEON scrap challenge over at Mydigitalstudio.net.

Here's the double spread.

Oh yeah, here's the

Color Me Scrappy Card 2

Well I couldn't stop and made another card with this colour combo from Color Me Scrappy.

I found this cool one layer card on pintrest and decided to CASE away...

Here it is.  I modified it a bit to make more room for the sentiment.  My colours were Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso.  The stamp sets I used were Perfectly Penned, and Papillion Potpourri.

Color Me Scrappy

My son is sick today, so I took the day off to be with him.
And what an excellent opportunity to make cards.

I decided to try this bright colour challenge over at Color Me Scrappy.

I received THIS card below as a swap from Regionals last month.
This cute card is made by Tamara Casorso
I decided to copy it and alter it to fit this challenge.

I stamped the butterflies in Poppy Parade, Tempting Turquoise, and Daffodil Delight.
I mounted the rectangle on a piece of Blushing Bride to bring in the pink.

I also ran a piece of crochet trim over a Blushing Bride ink pad to give the ribbon some colour.

I used the embossing folder and the button from the new Holiday Mini Catty.
Check out my next post because I made another card with this combo as well.

Display Stamper 3D Sample

When I made samples for display at Convention,
I was given Comfort Cafe as my suite to focus on.

Needles to say, I was overwhelmed with a ton of paper and fabric from the suite.

I used this little embroidery hoop as my base, and pulled out the
Comfort Cafe fabric and DSP.

I also used the Affection Collection stamp set and
drew some inspiration from the pennant in the set.
I stamped the pennant with the colours in the DSP and then
cut a few pennants of my own.
I really like how this whole 3D sample went together.
I think I might have to make it again with another colour palette.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #146

This week we have a sketch challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.

This week I have another of my pages for the Display Boards at Convention.
This is another one of my pages featuring the You're Amazing stamp set.

I used the bitty banner's die to create these little flags.
And I love the colours in the Floral District DSP.
I dug out this adorable photo of my daughter on her first birthday.
I remember those enormous cheeks she used to have - too cute!
But I digress.   Below you will find the complete page!
Can't wait to see what you create.
