Bright Birthday

Here's another fancy birthday card I put together with paper from Authentique, a doily from Michael's and a sentiment from DCWV.

Colour Q #251 - sorry it's late

So I'm not so organized this week - sorry.  Here's my sample for this week's Colour Q.

So I just LOVE this colour combo this week.  Purple is my favourite colour.  And Concord Crush is my favourite Stampin' Up color EVER!!!!!

Forever and Always

 Here's a cute card I made for an upcoming wedding we are attending.  I know that the bride loves purple.

I cut out the ampersand with my Silhouette Cameo, and I cut out the window using a die from Stampin' Up!

To make those little rows of sequins, I put down strips of double sided tape and then used tweezers to carefully lie down each sequin one by one - it took a bit of time.

I then used a paper piercer to pop the holes around the border and hand stitched the edges

The sentiment is a stamp from Stamping up.  I cut it out using a paper cutter first, and then craft scissors to make the flag ends.  Then I cut it in half to take out the & on the stamp.

Colour Q Challenge #250

Can you believe that Colour Q is having their 250th challenge???  Crazy I know.

I absolutely LOVE this colour combo.  You have a choice of using black and white and one of the colours from the dress, OR all of the colours from the dress - I chose the latter.  Hop on over to the Colour Q to see what the DT have come up with.

I had this adorable photo of my daughter and I taken last week.  We did a tour of one of the local mines.  It was a copper mine but they closed down in the 1970's and then reopened as a museum about 10 years later.  I have driven by this mine a million times as it's on the way to Whistler, our local ski destination, but I had never been there before.   It was fun!

I also happened to have just bought this great kit "Girls Time Out from" Pixels and Co.  Talk about perfect timing.

 I also used this template from Fiddle Dee Dee Designs to put it all together.

Here's a little Thank You card I whipped up a few months back for Teagan's soccer coach.  I found the image through MS word and I coloured it with markers.

Birthday Bow

Here's a cute card I made to add to my birthday stash.I decided to try out some cool paper I picked up while in California and made a few birthday cards.  

The stamps are from a Hampton Art/ Echo Park die cut set from Sizzix.  

I pulled together some ribbon and buttons from my stash, and some small acccessories from the dollar bin at Michael's.
