Stampin' Royalty Challenge #203

This week we have an inspiration photo for you.
I pulled my colour pallette from this photo.
I also tried to have a lot of texture on this card to reflect all the textures in the photo.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #189

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge for you.
I came up with the card above.

I drew the colours from the photos, especially the pillow in the lower right.
I used my hexagon embossing folder and used a brayer to add on Crisp Cantaloupe ink.  I really wanted to get a clear white outline on those hexagons.  I created the flower with retired waffle paper and Daffodil Delight ink.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #186

This week has a colour challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.
Because it retired, I don't have any Bermuda Bay ink or paper at home.  I took it all to my classroom.  So I pulled out this Afternoon Tea DSP and I know it has Costal Cabana, not Bermuda Bay, but it's close right?  I cut those little triangles into banner shapes and made a little banner.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love all the colours in this photo.
Well, I actually love this year's new In Colours.
I really love the combination of the teal and the green.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge 183

This week over at Stampin' Royalty the challenge is

ANYTHING GOES

So I pulled out MDS, made a few hybrid embellishments, added them to a retired die cut card and added the current scalloped ribbon.  Totally cute and super easy to make.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #179 and Sketchabilities #92

Over at Stampin' Royalty we have a theme challenge this week.

We'd like to see projects with a focus on the themes around

MASCULINE or DADS

So I took this opportunity to scrap this cute photo of my family taken last summer when we were in Italy.  I used the aptly named "Bon Voyage" kit for My Digital Studio.

I also used this great sketch from Sketchabilities

Hop on over and check out that fantastic site.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #176

We have a fabulous colour challenge over at Stampin' Royalty today.
Hop on over to check out the design team's samples this week.

I got down to scrappin' more of my Disney photos.
These are all from our Character Dining experience.
Teagan really did not want to go have lunch with the Princesses which really surprised me.
But both kids wanted dinner in Goofy's Kitchen, so that's what we did.
And we got photos with tons of the characters.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #173

We have my favourite kind of challenge over at Stampin' Royalty this week.
It's a colour challenge.
Although I'm not a real fan of this combo I am pleased with how this card turned out.

I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet so I left off a sentiment.

I have been a bit busy...

I have been very busy since our March holiday, and I've been a bit remiss about posting here.
So today I'm trying a bit of catch up!

First up, today's Stampin' Royalty Challenge #172
This week it's a photo inspiration challenge.
Here's the photo.

And here's my take.
I pulled embellishments from all kinds of kits. in My Digital Studio.
I also recoloured many of them to fit the pallette in the photo.
Teagan's Baseball uniform fit the pallette too (excepting the pink accessories of course)
She's so cute - the only girl on the team and one of the best players.
Probably because she's watched her big brother play for 2 years already.

Next up is this week's Colour Q.  I love, love, love this pallette.

I used this cute photo taken on my street.
My tenant's boyfriend has a dog, and one day, there he was in the driver's seat.
He totally looks like he's driving right?

This page is a layout from Suzy Q scraps.  I added a few other embellishments from Stampin' Up! and I recoloured all of them to match the pallette.

And finally, here's a page from last week's Stampin' Royalty.
I used an MDS template from the Lemonade Stand collection.

The challenge was to follow a baby theme.
We don't have any babies in our house these days, but
I found these photos of Connor, and they matched the pallette of this page perfectly.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #170

We have a great challenge for you over at Stampin' Royalty.
This week the challenge is to use
Ribbons and Pearls

I used the Fan Fair paper from Stampin' Up!
This is actually a hybrid card as the background image was printed out of MDS so that I could get a much smaller Eiffel Tower image.   The above elements were punched out of one of the sheets.

I thought this cute little clock charm worked great!

And here are the little pearls.
Below you can see a larger image of the card.  At the top of the card I put a ruffled ribbon.
It just felt too plain without the ruffles.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #169

So here I sit writing this post in very hot, hot, hot Palm Springs.  But by the time this post goes live, I will be home back in dreary, wet Vancouver.  But I will have a ton of exciting memories under my belt.

Anyway, when I looked at this sketch originally, I just couldn't imaging making a card.  I was mentally ready for Spring Break, had to worry about packing for our trip, (and packing my kids stuff too), finishing up report cards, and trying to present a Primary Musical to our school.  Needless to say, messing up my crafting room was not something I was ready to deal with.

I have, however, been on a real MDS kick lately, so I decided to create a scrapbook page with this layout.  I pulled the colours from the paper, found a cute photo of my kids, and off I went.  Please pop by and check out the fabulous work of the Design Team.  We'd love to see your work.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #167

It's Wednesday!!!!  That means another challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.  This week we have my favourite type of challenge - a COLOUR CHALLENGE!!!

My Sister-in-Law took this adorable photo of Brad's brother and their little girl.
She's 6 months old now, and has the most adorable smile!
The colours in this challenge really reminded me of my Brother-in-Law.  He not only wore a mustardy coloured shirt at my wedding, but he also wore one with his tux at his own wedding.  And although some people think of Summer Starfruit as a greenish colour, to  me, it reminds me of Mustard.

This page is full of recoloured elements from all sorts of MDS kits.
I also used a ton of overlays.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #164

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge for you.
Hop on over and check out the fabulous samples at the Design Team.
I  decided to make a hybrid card using My Digital Sudio.

Here's a photo of my digital image.
I printed it out and turned it into a card.
I printed the green medallion twice so that I could punch it out and layer it for more dimension.
The photo doesn't do it justice - sorry.
I popped up the punched out circle on dimensionals and I sponged the edges with black so that it would really pop.  In the middle I flattened a pop bottle lit and added a little dahlia in the middle.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #163

This week at Stampin' Royalty we have my favourite kind of challenge.

A COLOUR CHALLENGE.
and, Wow, we have a bright combo this week.

I really tried to tone it down a bit by using a lot of white space.  And I snapped this adorable photo of my daughter at bedtime last week, and her PJ's were almost the same colours as the challenge.
I added a lot of overlays to add texture to the background.
I really like some depth in my digital layouts.
Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #162

It's Wednesday!!!  We have a theme challenge for you over at Stampin' Royalty.

Show us your

VALENTINE'S DAY

creations!

I pulled out all my fun stuff from the Spring Catalogue.  I just love all the vintage accessories!  I made this cute little collage for my hubby!  I know it's a bit girly, but I just couldn't resist.

I tore a strip of the Print Poetry from the mini pattern stack .  I distressed the edges with some Soft Suede, and Primrose Petals ink.

This cute little ribbon was in the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  The cute little clock charm is from the Tea Time Trinkets kit.
The little LOVE ticket, the heart shaped doily, and the clear button is also from that kit.  The heart was stamped and die cut with the Hearts Afflutter set.
So here it is, I hope he likes it!
