Halloween Decor

I have these shabby chic frames that I've been collecting to decorate my Crafting Room.
So I finally got organized and whipped up a few quick 3D collages.
And when I say quick, I really mean it.
Like 15 minutes...

This image was made from a piece of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye
And that banner is a 3D sticker from K&Co.

This frame has two banner stickers from K&Co on some DSP from K&Co.

Here's a frame with a banner from the same K&Co kit and the
Halloween die cut from My Mind's Eye

Make A Wish Birthday

Here's a cute little birthday card I whipped together a few months ago.
The stitching is made using a paper piercer and using a white Signo gel pen.

The Moxie Fab Stickers and Tape Challenge

This card was made with this fantastic paper from Crate Paper.
I used the stickers to add detail and I mounted them and popped them up on dimensionals.
Then I added glitter for more detail.

I'm entering this in the Stickers and Tape challenge over at Moxie Fab.

The Moxie Fab Colour Media Challenge

I love this paper.  It's from Crate Paper, and this pack includes some die cuts and stickers.  I used the most vibrant page from the pack and then added some glitter glue to match.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I stamped it in Basic Black ink and carefully cut it out to make the banner.  The flower and the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun stickers were placed on black paper and then cut out by hand and mounted up on pop dots.

I'm entering this in the Moxie Fab Color Media Challenge.

The Ready Made Embellishment challenge from Moxie Fab

I used some preprinted cards and the matching paperstack to create this card.  It's all from American Craft.  The flowers are stickers and die cuts that I made into a bouquet.  I cut the jar our of the paper and popped it up on pop dots.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and I carefully cut it out so that it fit on the jar like a label.

Colour Q Challenge #209

This week at the colour Q we have a bright summery combo for you.
I decided to go back to my summer photos and scrap some of my cuties on the beach.  Here we are at the local beach and the kids were playing on the lifeguard chair.  I used to play on this same chair when I was a little girl.

Below are some of the kits from Pixels and Co that I used.
I also used a few digital stamps from Stampin' Up

Colour Q Challenge #206

Sorry I'm a few days late with this post - life has been CR-aaazy this week.
You might know that I'm a teacher and school started last week.
You probably don't know that my husband is also a teacher and he started last week.
AND my children are both young (grades one and two)
And this week after much deliberation we decided to pull our children out of the school that they have been going to, and send them to another school close by.
It was not an easy decision, but we've been debating about it for a few years.

Anyway, today I am finally getting around to posting my page for Colour Q
 Here's the palette.

I used the kits below - all from Pixels and Co.

Colour Q Challenge #205

I picked through a variety of kits from Pixels and Co to put together this page.
We went to the Okanagan last month and had a blast splashing around in the lake as it was sooooooo hot.  I really like how the pink in the layout accents the pink in the photo.

Stampin Royalty Challenge #191

Welcome to Wednesday and another challenge from Stampin' Royalty.
This week our challenge is fairly simple.

The Shape of Things...
Circles, circles, and more circles.

I pulled out all my circle punches and went to work.  I've seen tons of pages and cards done with the Silhouette machine, and I was really tempted to dust mine off and get to work, but then I pulled out the punches and was really happy with what I came up with.  So I pulled out some of my new In colour Card Stock and mounted up those circles to make this card.

The background is Coastal Cabana.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso from the Kindness Matters stamp set.

Colour Q Challenge #204

Wow, 204 challenges.  It just hit me, how many challenges I have been a part of.  When I see combos like this week, I realize just how much I LOVE colour combo challenges.  Although these are all very  bright colours, I knew I wanted to scrap these photos from a recent Friday night in my local neighbourhood.  Although the colours don't match completely, I really think they compliment the bright colours of the clothing in the pictures.  I used Pixler.com to edit the photos to make them look like Instagram edited photos.   The title and the date were printed out from My Digital Studio and the long journaling is from a set of pocket pages from Me and My Big Ideas.
I live in the Community of North Vancouver, which is a suburb of the city of Vancouver.  In my neighbourhood, which is a small part of the district of North Vancouver, there are many neighbourhood events which are perfect for people with younger children.  Although Vancouver is one of the larger cities in Canada, and the city core is only a 10 minute drive away,  North Vancouver feels like a whole new world.  If you saw any photos of the Winter Olympics in 2010, then you'd realize how close the North Shore (north and west Vancouver) are from the city centre.
The photos above are of my friend Kirsta, her daughter and my kids.  Every Friday night in the summer months there is live music.  People bring chairs, eat from the local eateries, and listen to the music for a few hours.  The children dance, and dance, and dance.  It's a ton of fun.

Colour Q Challenge #203

I couldn't believe it when I saw this week's colours.  The colours in these photos of my son were perfect for this challenge.  The bugs were part of a Shrinky Dink package from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I made a few of them, and shrunk them and really didn't like the way they shrunk, so these ones are not shrunk.  I just coloured them to match the challenge and then cut them out and attached them to white cardstock and cut them out again.  This way they show up nicely against the patterned background - like that little bumble bee.  The stamped sentiments are from Close to My Heart, and the title stickers are from Basic Grey.  The woodgrain stickers and the cute little bugs are from Little Yellow Bicycle and the rest is all Stampin' Up!  Don't forget to hop on over to the Colour Q and check out all the samples from the Design Team.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #189

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge for you.
I came up with the card above.

I drew the colours from the photos, especially the pillow in the lower right.
I used my hexagon embossing folder and used a brayer to add on Crisp Cantaloupe ink.  I really wanted to get a clear white outline on those hexagons.  I created the flower with retired waffle paper and Daffodil Delight ink.

Colour Q Challenge #202

Well, I'm not a big fan of this colour combo this week at Colour Q.  But I do love a challenge.  I immediately decided to scrap these photos of my kids at Granville Island, because the waterslide is such a vibrant yellow.  I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy this week as well.  BTW, I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by and saw that they had chosen to spotlight my page from last week.  Thanks Ladies.

For this page I used a variety of kits from Pixels and Co.

More Moxie Fab

Here's a cute little card I made using Photoshop and a printer.  It's for the Trendy Triangle Challenge for Moxie Fab World.   I also added it to the triangle challenge over at SWAT.   I made the background using a template for PSE.  I brought the cupcake image into My Digital Studio and added the candles and sentiment from the Stampin' Up! images in MDS.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #188

Welcome to Wednesday and another challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.  This week the challenge is to use up your small scraps.  So I pulled out a tons of DSP and went to work scrapping this adorable photo of my nephew.  Don't forget to hop on over to Stampin' Royalty to join in the fun!

Colour Q Challenge #201

Wow, has it really been over 200 challenges for Colour Q?   Time sure flies.
This week I used the palette from Colour Q with the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy to scrap some recent photos of my daughter.  I also used the "This Year" kit from Pixels and Co.

Moxie Fab Triangle Challenge

I decided to enter the triangle challenge over at Moxie Fab World.
I also entered this into the triangle challenge over at SWAT.

I used the In Stitches template and scrapped some photos from my Nephew's birthday BBQ.
And the Feelin' Peppy Kit from Pixels and Co.

Here's the jpeg I created with PSE11.
I printed it out on photo paper.

Then I pulled these elements into photoshop and printed them out as well.

Then I carefully cut them all out and popped them up to create a hybrid page.
