More Display Stamper...

Here's another card for the display boards at convention.

This card uses the Your'e Amazing stamp set.

And the Comfort Cafe suite paper.

I actually followed an old Sweet Sunday sketch for this card.
I couldn't enter it at the time of course, but here it is!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #143

This week is another great challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.
This week the challenge is to use
DIE CUTS

This card is one I made for the display boards at Convention.
I haven't seen any photos of the Comfort Cafe Suite board - which was my suite - so I'm not sure if it made it up on display or not.
I used the Bitty Banner Framelits to make this card.
I cut them out of the Gumball Green cardstock, one at a time.
I drew some pencil lines after I cut the first one, and then eyeballed the distance apart.
Once I cut all these little "windows", I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp from the comfort cafe suite in rainbow-esque colours.
Then I cut each piece small enough and lined them up behind the Green cardstock and attached them to the back with tape.
Then I mounted it all on some Whisper White, an then on some Midnight Muse card stock.
The bottom 'window' which says birthday was made with the Bitty Banner die.
Then I snipped the triangles off of each end to make a rectangle.

Display Stamper Affection Collection

Here's a Clean and Simple card I made for the display boards.

I stamped the frame tone-on-tone.

I paper pieced the flying heart and popped it up for some dimension.

Nacho Average Challenge #12

So Friday I puttered around at home.
I didn't go into work, as I got whiplash playing ice hockey.

Yes, ice hockey.

I am Canadian right??  Or should I say eh??
and I've been playing for years and years...
But you didn't stop by to hear about hockey now did you?

Because I was resting my neck I couldn't do any crafting,
but I laid back in hubby's lazyboy and pulled out my laptop.

I
LOVE,
LOVE,
LOVE,
My Digital Studio.
I mean, MDS2.

I can craft without getting off my butt.

YAY!

Anyway, I decided to play with Nacho Average Challenge.

This colour combo really called to me.

I recoloured a few embellishments and added a lot of overlays to increase the depth of this project.
Scroll down for the supply list.

Oh yeah, and today was Teagan's first day of hockey.
Isn't she adorable??

Display Stamper Forever

Here's another page I made for the Display Boards at convention.

I really like how the flower stamps frame the die cut so nicely.

I found this amazing photo of my children and printed it out in sepia.

I actually stamped everything without a stamp-ama-jig.
I was really, really proud of this as I did it on the first try.
I think it frames the photo perfectly, and I love the sentiment.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #142

Well it's Wednesday, so another great challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.

This week we have a
SKETCH CHALLENGE
for you.

This card was another one for the Display Stamper boards at Convention.

This card features the stamp set
Daydream Medallions

The card also features the new in Colour
Primrose Petals.

I stamped the sentiment and then usedd the Bitty Banner Framelits to create the banner.

The ribbon was created with Seam Binding Ribbon.
I crumpled up the ribbon and spritzed it heavily with water.
When it dried I created this bow.
I added a button and a brad to finish it off.

Display Stamper Stuff!

Here's a quick look at one of my display card for Convention.
This features the set You're Amazing

I'm not sure if I like this card or not.
Something seems missing.
But when you make 25 projects in 2 weeks - something's gotta give right?

I stamped the tickets and cut them out by hand because
I didn't have the punch when I received this set.
But here's the final card.

Display Stamper

This card is one of my favourite ones that I made for the Display boards.

I punched out the two pieces of River Rock  and the scrap was lying around.
I then stamped the floral image in Very Vanilla and it fit perfectly within the frame.

I think I need to try this card again in different colours, so keep an eye out for it.

Stampin Royalty Challenge #141

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge for you at Stampin' Royalty.
I really love the colours and images in this photo collage
I scrapped the fabulous photo of my family.
I love how you can recolour parts of a stamp.  The title was done this way.
I made the banner by using the banner from Fan Fair and then I placed Flag punches filled with Storytime DSP to add to the banner.

Colour Q #154

Here's my sample for Colour Q this week.
Hop on over to check out the Design Team samples.
I really found this combo easy to work with
Well I had some fabulous photos from the past summer to work with.
Again, I used a ton of overlays in Bravo Burgundy.
Believe it or not, the base colour on this page is Cameo Coral.

Fab Friday Birthday

Well there is a new challenge blog out there called Fab Friday.
I thought I'd try my hand at their sketch this week.
It looks so fresh and simple and open to interpretation.
You can click the link above, or on the photo, to check out this new blog.

I needed to make a birthday card for my nephew who is turning 6.
So I pulled out some retired paper that I've been hoarding and got to work.
The only problem was that I couldn't decide on how to combine the paper.
So, I made a ton of cards.  This creates a problem.
Which card should I enter in the challenge?
So I've decided to enter a few.

To make these cards I used the pennant punch to punch out triangles.  Then I attached them to the back of another strip of paper.  I only revealed half of each triangle, so that they look like mini pennants.  The sentiment is from the banner set, and the button above is one of the new buttons from the current mini catty.  I added an extra one to the card above to balance things out.   Below I added a strip of white card stock to emphasize the pennants.  Otherwise they got a bit lost against the DSP background.  And this button is one of the Regals buttons.

Dare to Daydream - Stampin Royalty Challenge #140

It's wednesday and you know what that means!
A new challenge over at Stampin' Royalty.

This week we have a colour challenge.
I must say I LOVE this colour combo.

In fact I actually made this card for the display boards at Convention.j
This one was made for the Daydream Medallion stamp set.

I used the Comfort Cafe DSP as my inspiration.
I then pulled out a piece of paper that only had Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

I stamped the smallest medallion with Soft Suede on paper of the same.
This became my background.
Then I distressed the edges and mounted it on
the piece of Comfort Cafe DSP.
And then mounted it on Whisper White.

I used the largest medallion in Crumb Cake on Whisper White.
Then I carefully cut it out.  Next I distressed the edges.
I decided to wrap the whole thing with twine.  Then I added a bow
from Pool Party ribbon and topped it with
one of the new Designer Wood buttons.

I stamped this image on Pool Party and carefully cut around it.
I know this card was up on the display boards.
I really wanted to keep it for myself.
I love turquoise and brown.
(almost as much as purple and green)
