Scrapmaster's Paradise #4

So I'm trying my hand at a new challenge blog today. This colour challenge is from Scrapmaster's Paradise. I have to say that these colours are very bright and far out of my comfort zone. So I decided to add white to tone down the colours. With such a bright pink as one of the colours, I immediately thought of a card for a little girl. And why not a birthday card for a little princess? I pieced this cake together with punched out pieces. It was soooooo easy. First I punched out two squares from the pink DSP and trimmed the edges to make them angle in. Then I cut them in half lengthwise and layered them. Next I used a candle punch to punch out the birthday candles. Finally I made the cake stand by punching out with two small oval punches and then trimming the edges to fit the cake. The glitter was added with the 2 way glue pen. I ran the white cardstock through the big shot with the cuttlebug folder to add some interest, but not more colour. The sentiment was stamped and punched out with the oval punch and then layered over pink paper punched out with the modern label punch. The stars and crowns are stickers.

All products SU unless otherwise noted. Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Ink: Glorious Green. Paper: Glorious Green, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Whisper White. Accessories: Cuttlebug folder, 2 way glue pen, coloured glitter from martha stewart, stickers from SandylionPunches: small oval, 1 1/4 inch square, word window, modern label, birthday candle.
