Curtain Call Pretty in Pink

Pieces of this card have been sitting around on my desk for quite a while now, so when I saw this month's challenge over at the Curtain Call, I knew they would fit together to make the perfect card for this challenge.

I also used this sketch from Sketch Saturday and flipped it 45 degrees.

First I stamped the French Script background stamp with versa mark and used embossing powder and my heat gun to emboss the writing.  Next I pulled out some watercolour crayons and scribbled over the areas I wanted to colour.  Then I used a wet paintbrush and blended them all in to create this ombre effect on the background.   Cool right?  And that's where I got stuck for a while.

This flower above, it from a part of a background stamp from Recollections that I bought at Michaels for a few bucks a while back.  I stamped it in two colours and cut out the parts I wanted to create the purplish flower.   Behind the flower is part of a paper doily that I spritzed with some ink to get the pink effect.

I added sequins and the gold butterfly to echo the gold in the inspiration photo.

Thanks for stopping by today.
