Sweet Sunday Sketch #169

I needed to make a ThankYou card for a colleague,
and decided to pull ou the International Bazzar DSP.

Then I lined up the Sweet Sunday sketch as my inspiration.

Here's some closeups of the details.

It's actually a hybrid card as I printed out the sentiment using MDS2.
It's so nice that it still fits in the Window's Framelit.

I hand cut out the blue layer by hand and roughed it up with a pair of scissors.

The middle band of Pacific Point blue was embossed with the latest Embossing folder.
I then sponged on a bit of Very Vanilla Craft in to make the embossing realy pop.

Finally I added the little apple clip as the card is for a Teacher Colleague of mine.

Two posts in one day????? What's going on?

Crazy right?  I can't believe it myself.
Since I've arrived home 4 days ago I have made 5 post-worthy cards.

This one was inspired by a scrapbook page on the display boards at convention.

And I used tons of layers - LOVE this colour combo!

It's been a while since I played along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge,
and I really like this week's sketch.

I pulled out a new Hostess Set called Carry On,

Used my Big Shot and punches for some details,

Added a flower accent - I punched the middle out of some Floral District DSP,

Added some ribbon and here we are.

Monkey Birthday

This card was inspired by a card I saw in May's Paper Crafts Magazine. I wish I had a photo to post up on it, but it was made by Diana Albright. I really wanted to use my Island Oasis paper from the current Summer Mini and I pulled the rest of the colours out of that paper. The Monkey was paper pieced using punches and I cut the party hat freehand. I used the sketch from Karen Giron to make my card.
The Fun Stuff:
1. Ink - So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip
2. Paper - Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Old Olive, Island Oasis DSP
3. Accessories - So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Chocolate Chip satin ribbon, Ovals Bigz Die for the Big Shot. Not Quite Navy Brads and various circle punches.
