Welcome to Day #5 of the Artsan Award Blog Hop. If you have been following the past few days just skip down to the information below the photo If this is your first visit, let me explain. This years' Artisan Award winners are having a BLOG HOP. We're going to show you all of our winning projects, and let you know a bit about how we made them. If you check out all projects over the whole hop you will see 100 winning projects. So don't forget to stop by tomorrow! Underneath my project, you will find a link to the next blog on the tour, and at the very bottom of this post you will find a complete list of all 10 blogs, in case you get lost on the tour. You should have just come from Connie Collins' blog. Isn't she terribly talented. I love her work.
This page was inspired by a card. Click here to see which card I was thinking of. When I made that card, I was so in love with all the texture. I decided to try that technique with a scrapbook page. And this is what I came up with.
I started by embossing only the corners with the tulip frames embossing folder. And then I added the flowers. Tons and tons of flowers. I used every die and punch that I could and I punched them all out of Whisper White cardstock. This page went through many different versions. The first verson that I complete was the one on the left. I finished it and was never really satisfied. It just seemed to have something missing, and the two big flowers on the bottom were unbalanced. Eventually I played around with it a bit more, and then decided to try adding the banner to the top left corner, and moving the sentiment down to the bottom left corner. I pulled off the flowers and primped them up a bit for more depth.
I hope you enjoyed today's project, now hop on over to Heidi King's blog to see her next amazing project.

I totally L-O-V-E this page...so elegant and heartwarming!
This is really lovely. The softness of the colours you used really add to the photo. I also love how you added the baby pennant and changed the flower. If you don't mind, I would like to case this page.
I love all of the tone-on-tone elements of this page; it's really wonderful! Congratulations on winning the Artisan Award!
