Artisan Blog Hop Day #3

Welcome to Day #3 of the Artsan Award Blog Hop.  If you have been following the past few days just skip down to the information below the photo If this is your first visit, let me explain.  This years' Artisan Award winners are having a BLOG HOP.  We're going to show you all of our winning projects, and let you know a bit about how we made them.  If you check out all projects over the whole hop you will see 100 winning projects.  So don't forget to stop by tomorrow!   Underneath my project, you will find a link to the next blog on the tour, and at the very bottom of this post you will find a complete list of all 10 blogs, in case you get lost on the tour.  You should have just come from Connie Collins' blog. Isn't she terribly talented.  I love her work.
This page started out one way, and went in a completely different direction in the end.   I started with the Nursery Suite DSP.  See the scalloped edge on the top and left.  Then I decided to use the Greenhouse Gala DSP because it also had Baja Breeze in it.  So I pulled the rest of the colours from that DSP.  I really tried to incorporate non-baby themed paper and colours in this page to give it a bit of a twist.  And the Baja Breeze really accentuates the blue of my son's eyes.  This is not the best photo of this page.  It doesn't show the burning blue of his eyes.  (I know I'm biased -  it's a mother thing...)  The little Star in the corner started out with the accordian medallion and I wanted the Baja Breeze to stand out, so I mounted it on a scallop circle of Pear Pizzaz.  Then  I layered it on a circle of Pumpkin Pie to really make it stand out.  All of the images and text were made in My Digital Studio.  That makes this a Hybrid page.  I hope you enjoyed today's project, now hop on over to Heidi King's blog to see her next amazing project.

This fella really is a "little cutie". I don't think you are biased one little bit (well maybe a little), but honestly he is adorable. There are so many things I love about this page that I can't list them all, but my two favorite things is the way you made the banner from the paper border and the "mobile".

Little Cutie is right! It's fun to see how we used the same paper in different ways. Darling page!
